I am getting a Pond Prowler next weekend and I am having a tough time deciding between the 9ft or 10ft. I will be doing float trips down the Verde up in Camp Verde and using it at Lake Mary and some Williams lakes...I will be fishing with my buddy quite a bit and will be fishing by myself as well. Just not sure if 10ft will be too big to handle for the Verde etc...
Maybe 5K was just in a hurry in his typing, but I think he was correct in the suggestion that a pond prowler would not work well in the Verde.
A kayak would do river trips and the lakes in the mountains also.
As long as you're man enough to move it around, the bigger one will be more stable and have more room....that would be my vote. If the 25lb or so would mean the difference between handling the boat in and out easily, go with the smaller one.
a kayak would be more comfortable depending on witch one. u could keep positioning better in a kayak if there is not a lot of current. either way i would suggest a anchor trolly.
Yes. A kayak would be better. If I wanted to get a kayak I would, but it does not fit my needs for what I will be doing with it. I will be fishing two people 80-90% of the time and will be doing some small lake fishing with a trolling motor. That is why I asked about the Pond Prowler size, not a kayak. Thanks for the help.
Alright well thanks for the replies, I will remember not to post about this again lol
